Why Would You Want to Invest in Art?

Why would you want to invest in art? Creative Imagination/ By: Katy Speziale There are so many reasons why it’s a great idea for you to invest in art: Perspective First of all, there is truly so much value in art. It’s a masterpiece of unique expression. The artist tells a beautiful story through their piece of art. Guess what though, you get to choose how you want to perceive a piece of art. You can choose what it means to you. Everyone sees a piece of art from a different perspective. When I asked my nephew what he thought of my painting, “Beautifully Fierce,” he told me that it looked like a ‘Tomato Tornado.’ He had just watched the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs that week so he was viewing it from that perspective.  Growth, Expression and the Feels The energy that art emanates is of such a high frequency! It feels calming, uplifting, and inspiring!! I know that when I am surrounded by art I feel so inspired and ready to take on the world! Art can literally change the entire feel of your environment, and your environment plays a HUGE part in your growth. Think about kids; if we are to create the environment around them in a way that promotes growth and learning, they will thrive and expand their minds rapidly by spending time in that environment. Well, the same goes for us adults. It’s all in how we intentionally choose to set-up our environments to promote our own growth, of where we want to go and who we strive to become.  Art is a form of not only the artists self-expression, but your own self-expression! Even though you didn’t create the piece of artwork yourself, you owning it says a lot about you as a person. You obviously resonate with the artist on many levels and may share a similar life perspective or strive to share that perspective. It’s a piece of art that you CHOOSE to have in your home and it represents who you are and where you are going. By constantly seeing this piece of art, it will help you manifest what you desire and bring your higher self to the surface. Emotion and Memories Art provokes emotion and often times can spark a fond memory. My art has sparked some beautiful memories for people: like a memory of a vacation or place they’ve been, a memory of their hometown, a memory of a loved one they miss, and a reflection of who they used to be.  I was showing my art gallery to a client, and he saw my painting Fiery Day. It hit him straight in the heart and gave him all the feels. He was completely captivated by the artwork as it reminded him of a place he had travelled to with his son. Having a print of the artwork in his office now, continuously reminds him of that beautiful time he spent there with his son. It’s a way to feel like he’s there every day, feeling the warmth of the fiery sun, and to truly cherish that beautiful memory.          Empowerment Art also has an empowering aspect to it. If you think about it, an artist has to be incredibly brave in order to choose to share their work of art with an audience, or to even create it in the first place. Because of this bravery, by  looking at a piece of art, it can remind you of a situation where you felt brave and empower you to be brave again and again. Collecting and Heirlooms Some people choose to collect pieces of art from a specific artist that they admire and respect, and you can do so too!  Lastly, art is an heirloom and can be passed down from generation to generation, so when you’re done enjoying the piece of artwork, you can pass it down to the next generation for them to love and enjoy. Art lasts forever! I wish for you to find a piece of art that truly resonates with your heart and soul in every way! Thank you for being here! With so much love and gratitude, Katy 💗 See more art

Reach for the Positive Light

I have a question for you! What perspective are you choosing to view your circumstances from, a positive or negative perspective? I would love to encourage you to reach for the positive light! I know sometimes through situations in life we may wonder, “why is this happening to me?,” “what did I do to deserve this?,” “why do bad things happen to good people?” I really want to challenge you to reframe your thoughts and mindset. I’m someone who believes that everything happens for a reason. I truly believe that with every depth of my soul. When we are put through certain circumstances and challenges in life, it’s to help us grow in some way. Whenever something happens in my life that feels challenging, I look at it from the perspective of leveling up; I look at it from a positive angle. What can I learn from this? What can I take from this situation? How can I see this in a positive light?  I’m going to share a story of something I witnessed recently! It was a bird murder! No joke! A legit bird murder!!!  I was looking out my back window appreciating nature as per usual. There were 3 pigeons on the roof of our garage really close to the window I was watching from. I realized that one was a baby. The Mom and Dad were cleaning the baby and showing sooo much love and affective towards it!! It was beautiful. I watched in awe. I thought about grabbing my phone to take a photo but I didn’t want to miss the moment so I stayed present in the moment and just watched.  Then all of a sudden the Mom and Dad flew upwards. The baby tried to fly but wasn’t quite strong enough yet. I wondered, “where are they all going?” Then out of nowhere BAM, this raven swooped down and tackled the baby to the ground!!!!! It was legit like in a movie where the dramatic music starts. My jaw dropped and my heart broke as I stood there watching this baby pigeon fight for it’s life against this massive raven. The raven pinned it to the ground and held it down until the baby pigeon died. Then began to feast on it. I could no longer watch the horror and closed the curtains. I was talking about it with my Mom after as I needed someone else to hear this story. She asked me why I didn’t open the back door to try and help. It honestly hadn’t occurred to me as I was so in shock that the situation was happening before my eyes in the first place.  I was slightly traumatized from the situation. And all I could think was, “why on Earth did I have to witness that? That was so unnecessary for me to see, and so awful!!!” A bit later my mind remembered, okay, I believe that everything happens for a reason so what could I take from witnessing this.  I decided to see it as a reminder to be present and appreciate every moment with the people I love most. We don’t know how much time we have here on Earth so it was a great reminder to be present. I chose to find the positive in that awful situation. Everything that happens in our lives makes us stronger and prepares us to level up and expand to better versions of ourselves.  Even when a situation feels dark, always try to reach for, and find the positive light in it. My plant reminded me of that as I noticed it reaching one branch towards the light when it was in the dark. You can make it a a fun challenge for yourself of how you can find the positive in every situation you go through.  Thank you for being here! I wish you the most positive and wonderfully creative day! Feel free to post a comment about your thoughts, would love to hear what you think. With so much love and gratitude, Katy   P.s.
