Create a life full of

Joy & Inspiration

Katy personally knows what it’s like to walk into a plain room that has no colour and feels completely un-motivating, uninspiring, and draining! She also knows how beautiful it is to walk into a room full of colour and feel instantly rejuvenated, aligned, inspired, and ready to take on the world!

Katy believes that art emanates high frequencies of vibration that will energetically amplify your living space; so that you can experience more joy and inspiration.

If you intentionally position your environment in a way that reflects who you truly are and where you are going in life, you will maintain a high vibration of frequency and energetically align with your truth! ❤️

Who is Katy?

Katy is an artist and award-winning author from a small town in Northern Ontario!

It’s her mission to empower people to embody colourful and easy lives so that they will live with joy and inspiration.

Katy is a self-taught artist and has been painting with acrylics on canvas for over 15 years! Her main style is abstract/surrealism, with some nature-based landscapes!

Katy believes that everyone has a beautiful imagination and that our imaginations create the world around us! By tapping into our imaginations, we can consciously create our lives and artistic creations!

Being the author of the book, The Empowered Creator, Katy strives to empower people to discover their creativity, push past perfectionism, develop confidence in their abilities, and tap into their higher selves – who they truly are!

Katy's Story

EARLY YEARS

Right from the early years, Katy always loved creating! For her arts and crafts in grade school, she always used every colour possible and lots of sparkles! Her art was always bright and happy! Katy was quite precise with the artwork she did, it had to be ‘perfect’!

Katy was the kid with the Easy Bake Oven, Ice Cream Maker, Snow Cone Maker, Bracelet
Making Set, Beads, Crayon Maker, Rock Tumbler, Basket Making Kit, Tattoo Air
Brush Set, etc. Anything that involved creating, she loved!

When Katy wasn’t doing a craft of some sort, you could find her in the kitchen, making some sort of amazing baking creation with her Grandma; so still creating but in another form! They baked/cooked a lot of incredible desserts, candies, and food, such as different coloured and filled chocolates, lollipops, sponge toffee, jelly roll cake, meringues, eatmore bar, homemade gnocci, etc.  That’s where Katy’s love for candy making came from! Baking creations became gluten-free when Katy was diagnosed with Celiac Disease at the age of 11.

In grade 8, for an art project, Katy had the opportunity to create her first acrylic paintings on canvas! She had so much fun and didn’t want to stop painting. She even asked to stay in for recess to continue working on the painting!

Shortly after that experience, it was summer, the summer before high school! Katy joined an art course that had 3-4 other people in it! She loved every moment of it!

When that course ended Katy went to an arts and crafts store and bought her very first acrylic paints, paint brushes, canvas and palettes! ♥

2009- 2012

Along with taking an art course every year in high school, I Katy also took an art course outside of school, for water colours! The art course turned into an art club! Katy was the youngest person there: high school Katy and a bunch of adults! She didn’t care! She loved creating and collaborating with them every week! Katy and the instructor became good friends and he became her mentor for a while! They did some really cool photography together as well!

Katy used to be such a perfectionist in high school! She was always focused on perfection and truly didn’t know how to just let loose, to come up with her own ideas! Her teacher used to tell the class to come up with their own ideas for art and Katy would be thinking, “Okay sure, but how the heck do I do that?” She didn’t understand how.

Katy finally let the paint brush take over one day when she was painting at home, working on an art assignment! This was the first time that she remembers coming up with her own idea and just allowing the paintbrush to flow (well actually, it was a sponge for that painting)! It was one of her first original pieces of art, in her eyes!

Katy’s plan for the painting, was to do a flowy swoop coming from each side of the canvas with different colours, coming into the middle as a swirl, with a portrait of herself figure skating in the center of the swirl! Once Katy painted one side of the swoop, she began to do the other! She brought the artwork downstairs to show her parents how amazing it was looking in the process and her Mom said, “Wow, it looks like a colourful peacock or rooster!” She was right, it definitely did!

Katy flipped the painting around and it looked like a snail. There were so many cool perspectives! She ended up leaving the painting as is and calls it, “Peacock!”
Sometimes when you let go of a specific idea you have and allow things to just flow and happen,
the painting or creation can become so much more than it would have been in the first place! ♥

2016

In 2016, Katy and her best friend stopped talking for a while. Katy didn’t really have much to do otherwise or many friends, so she completely absorbed herself in her art! She threw her heart and soul into her artwork! This is when she fully let go and let everything flow! Katy Speziale Originals were born!

Ideas came to Katy at the most interesting times: when she was mopping the floor at the furniture store that she worked at for 5 years, when she was out for walks looking at nature, when she took baths, etc. She now realizes that those were times that she was truly the most relaxed, calm, grateful, and happy! ☺Her mind was able to step into the creative process of imagination! That was just the beginning… the ideas are endless!!! ♥

Katy’s mentor helped her learn some of the fundamentals to begin her art journey in her local community! She attended vendor events to start sharing colour and inspiration to the world!

Katy's STYLE

Basically since 2016, Katy has created well over 75 Katy Speziale Original Acrylic Paintings on Canvas!

Her style is mainly abstract/surrealism and she also paints some nature-based landscapes. Katy loves to paint sunsets, trees, the moon, the elements of life, the sun, birds, and total abstract; all infused with vibrant colours and so much soul and inspiration!

BIGGER PROJECTS

Katy has taken on some bigger art projects for herself over the years, just for fun!

She painted her parents garage with a Palm Tree Scene and Pink Splatter on the right side, in 2009!

In 2019, she decided it needed a change! A beautiful sunset arose, with beachy colours on the right side!

During the Covid 19 pandemic, Katy painted a big window, 2 years in a row, to bring some colour and joy to the people in her community!

Painting a window has become an annual project for Katy! ♥

2021

In July 2021, Katy was invited to an online workshop regarding personal development! It was called, ‘Ignite your Calling,’ by Kathleen Cameron!

Katy took the 5 day course and did the workbook for it! Every single question that she answered, kept
leading her back to her art! She tried to resist and focus on the job she was doing at the time. She couldn’t… her art kept popping back into her mind! Katy began to realize her purpose in life! She finally made the decision to pursue her dreams! ♥

I empower people to embody colourful and easy lives so that they will live with joy and inspiration!

❤️ I personally require a lot of colour and daily inspiration to keep me motivated and happy in my world! Inspiration is so important for all of us to have in our lives!

I believe that everyone deserves to have beautiful, vibrant, colourful, dreamy artwork in their home, to feel inspired, empowered, and joyful, every single day in their environment!

❤️ I’ve had so many people look at my art and tell me that they can’t come up with their own ideas. The truth is that I didn’t know how to come up with my own ideas in the early years either. Once I started coming up with my own ideas, I still didn’t understand how I did it! I was an unconscious competent! Later on, a personal development course made me realize that as soon as I decided to let go of my idea of perfection and let my creative mind flow with ease, my art started to become my own, and very beautiful at that! Now that I know how I let my creative mind flow and how I create my own ideas, I help creators Multi-coloured like the Creative Imagination word Gold do the same!

I believe that creators deserve to feel empowered! You have so much potential within you; you just need to tap into it and embody it! The world is filled with endless possibilities!

LOVE ourselves and others! Love is unconditional and a necessity for everyone! Loving every moment allows us to live a happier life, and feel grateful for everything we have!

FAMILY comes first! Spending time with the people I love and being really present in the moments we share, is the core to a full, happy heart and joyful life! They are the most important people!

CREATIVITY is feeling so inspired to know that the possibilities are endless when we allow our imaginations to flow and create what they’re meant to create!

GENUINITY is being real, true to ourselves, down to earth, authentic, unique, honest, transparent, and saying it like it is, so that we confidently allow our personalities to sparkle, and we can understand each other on a deeper level!

ENERGY is shining our colourful, joyful, enthusiastic, optimistic, positive, happy, calm, and kind-hearted, beautiful souls to the world so that it will be a more beautiful place! The energy we put into the world is always reciprocated back to us, so by putting our beautiful energy into the world, it will have a ripple effect!

HEALTH is caring for our bodies and living a balanced, natural lifestyle! Having a strong appreciation for nature and caring about the health of our environment so that we can enjoy life and the world for all it brings!

FAITH is knowing that God guides us in all we do! Listening to our hearts, to allow our intuition to guide us!

OPEN-MINDEDNESS is always being open to new ideas and having the courage to allow the possibility of something different from what we already know or perceive!

EMPOWERMENT is being brave, bold, and confident, so that we can be strong and sure of ourselves, and we can inspire others to be the same!

COMMITMENT is so much dedication, loyalty, perseverance, and resilience! Having the willingness to grow and learn, and to be a better version of ourselves every single day allows us to spend our time in meaningful ways to achieve what we want to do and where we want to be!

MUTUAL RESPECT is when we see each other in high valued ways, to hold strong relationships and communicate effectively!

EARLY YEARS

Right from the early years, I have always loved creating! For my arts and crafts in grade school, I always used every colour possible and lots of sparkles! My art was always bright and happy! I was quite precise with the artwork I did, it had to be perfect! I made a lot of creations at school and a lot at home as well! I thoroughly enjoyed glueing, cutting, painting, colouring, sparkles, etc.

I was the kid with the Easy Bake Oven, Ice Cream Maker, Snow Cone Maker, Bracelet Making Set, Beads, Crayon Maker, Rock Tumbler, Basket Making Kit, Tattoo Air Brush Set, etc. Anything that involved creating, I loved!

Art was always my favourite subject throughout school! In grade 8, for an art project, a lady came into our class to help us create acrylic paintings on canvas! This was my first introduction to this way of painting! I had soooo much fun doing this project!!! I remember asking to stay in for recess to continue working on it! Eventually the project was over and my teacher said that we had to move onto a new project!
I was so upset that I did not get to paint everything that I wanted to in the photo! It was a Silvester and Tweety painting! I wanted to put Granny in the Window looking in at them!

Shortly after that experience, it was summer, the summer before high school! I joined an art course that had 3-4 other people in it! I had a ton of fun! Loved every moment of it!

When that course ended I went to Michaels and bought my very first acrylic paints, paint brushes, canvas and palettes! ❤️

AFTER COLLEGE

In 2016, my best friend and I stopped talking for a while. I didn’t really have much to do otherwise, so I completely absorbed myself in my art! I started to paint like crazy! I paint my emotions so ideas began to flow into my mind with ease, and very frequently! I was creating 4-6 originals a month at that point! I threw my heart and
soul into my artwork! This is when I fully let go and let everything flow! Katy Speziale Originals were born!

Ideas came to me at the most interesting times: when I was mopping the floor at the furniture store that I worked at for 5 years, when I was out for walks looking at nature, when I took a bath, etc. I now realize that those were times that I was the most relaxed, calm, grateful, and happy! ☺ My mind was able to step into the creative process of imagination! What a beautiful state to be in! I am able to formulate my own ideas for a new painting whenever I like now! The ideas are endless!!! ❤️

My mentor helped me learn how to take photos of my artwork, get prints made, etc. A few fundamentals to start myself out as an Artist in my community! I attended Vendor Events to share my colourful world!

MY STYLE
